Booking terms and privacy
Short, because there is not much to say. What a booking commits each of us to, and what happens to the handful of details you send us.
What a booking commits us to
Sending the form is a request, not a booking. We read every one against what is already on the ground and reply in the same conversation, on WhatsApp or by email, whichever way it reached us. A booking exists once we have confirmed your date in writing and you have paid the deposit. Until both have happened, nothing is held.
Prices. The total the trip card builds is the figure you pay. Every trip is priced for the whole group at the number of guests you pick, and the card lists what rides on top: anything marked Mandatory is already counted, anything marked Included is free of charge, and Optional items count only when you switch them on. Pickup is the one line that depends on where you are, and a camp pickup is counted at its maximum until we know the distance, so that line can come down. Nothing else is added later.
Deposit and balance. Half the trip price holds your date. The other half is paid on the day, before we set out. We arrange how to send the deposit when we confirm your booking, so you never send money to an address you have not heard from us first.
If you cancel. Tell us at any point up to eight hours before the departure time and your deposit comes back in full, with no reason needed and no question asked. Inside those last eight hours the guide is committed and the vehicle is committed, so the deposit is kept. On a booking covering several days, the eight hours run against each trip separately, so cancelling one leaves the rest untouched.
If we cancel. We call off a trip only for weather or safety, and that judgment is ours to make. If we do, you choose: another date, or the whole deposit back. We do not keep a share of it, and we do not charge for the change.
Pickup. Every trip sets out from Nuweiba'. Pickup is one flat price for the whole group, set by road distance from there. Camp in Nuweiba'/Taba: EGP500 to EGP1,700, set by distance once we have your request, and counted at the maximum until then. Dahab: EGP2,800. Sharm El Sheikh: EGP3,500. Dahab and Sharm El Sheikh are offered only on the trips whose ground is around Nuweiba'. On the rest the road does not come this way, so both are closed on the card and on the booking page, and a custom trip is the way to ask for one. Where a camp pickup is quoted as a range, we count the maximum until we have worked out the distance, so the figure you are given can fall and never rises. Arriving on your own costs nothing. Staying somewhere else, ask and we will tell you.
On the day. Each trip page says what ground it covers and how hard it is. Come dressed for it, bring water, and tell us in advance about anything that affects how far or how fast you can walk. Out there the guide's word is final on route and timing: that is not ceremony, it is how people come back safely.
Insurance. Not included, and not something we sell. Travel and medical cover is worth having in South Sinai and it is yours to arrange.
Photographs. We photograph the trips we run. If you would rather not appear in anything we publish, say so and that is the end of it, before or after the day.
What we hold, and what we do not
What you send us. Only what is in the form: your name, how many of you there are, the dates, the pickup point and options you chose, and anything you wrote in the message box. There is no account to make and no other field anywhere on this site.
Where it goes. Nowhere, until you send it. The form on this site does not submit anything. It writes your request out as a message and opens WhatsApp with it ready, and nothing leaves your device until you press send there yourself. From that point the conversation lives in WhatsApp, under WhatsApp's own terms, and we hold it in the WhatsApp Business app the same way you hold it on your phone. Sending it does show us the number you send it from, which is how we reply. If you would rather not use WhatsApp, email us instead and it never touches them at all.
What we never do. We do not sell your details, share them, rent them, or pass them to any other operator. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not message you first on WhatsApp about anything you did not ask about.
What this site does not do. There are no cookies. There is no analytics of any kind, no visitor counter, no advertising pixel, and no third-party script. The typefaces are served from this site rather than fetched from anyone else. Load a page here, fill the form in, and your browser contacts nobody but us, with no exception at all: opening WhatsApp is a link you choose to follow, exactly like any other link you might click.
Server logs. We choose to spell this out because we want you to know everything a visit here leaves with us, not only what you send. The server this site runs on keeps a standard log of every request, as every web server does, with details such as the internet address it came from, the page asked for, the time and the browser. That log is the only trace a visit leaves on our side.
The photographs. Every image is stripped of its embedded data before it ships, including the GPS coordinates a camera writes into a file. Nothing on this site carries a location tag.
How long we keep it. As long as it takes to answer you and run your trip, and a while after for our own records. Ask us to delete what we hold on you and we will, and we will confirm when it is done.
Asking us anything. Message us on WhatsApp or write to info@jibaltours.com, and a person will read it either way.
